My New Hobby - Photography

I love to take pictures, not only of myself but also of everything that catches my attention, whether it is people or places, food, pets, things etc. Before, I only use my cellphone or the old camera with films to take a shot of what I wanted but now we have a DSLR, Nikon D5100 to be exact. (But I'm not the only owner) Thanks so much to Tita Juliet, we were able to buy it. We (Me and Billy) purchased it last April, for sole reason of capturing Mira's debut and we wanted it to be so memorable. By the time we have it, we try to think of something else that we can use it on. We wanted to be more passionate in photography and continue on learning, because I know for myself that we still have so much to learn and know about photography. But as of now, we are still busy in our work, that we set aside this for the time being, and just continue on taking pictures when it is possible. But I wanted to apologize for those photographer that will going to see this pictures. Sorry if these will not meet your expectations or your standards. LOL :)

Fliptop Rap Battle League "Fever "

Did you already know the popular rap battle called fliptop? It has lots of videos of this fliptop battle at YouTube. I also started to like this battle from the first time that I have watched one video a year or two ago. If you are wondering what am I talking about, let's just have an introduction first. So fliptop battle is started by Alaric Riam Yuson or a.k.a "Anygma" and "Fliptop is a rap battle league that puts two people in a match to have them insult each other with the cleverest punch lines and sharpest rhymes", said by Anygma. At first, I'm kind of disgusted to this battle because of some censored words that the rapper is delivering, but since I'm at the right age and knows what is right and wrong, whenever I watched Fliptop battle, I just ignored those "bad" words. I just admire those rapper that can deliver continuous punch lines with some humor in it as well. And now, there is a new twist in the fliptop battle which is the "Dos por Dos" Tournament and from the word itself the battle is composed of 4 persons, 2 person in each team. This is a much grand battle because there is a team up happening and backing up each other if 1 is having a mental block.

So try to watch more videos, but I recommend that if you will watch this with under age kids try to explain this to them or probably do not watch it with them around. :)

The URS Guronasyon Foundation Inc. Chairman

Dr. Gilberto M. Duavit, is the chairman of the URS Guronasyon Foundation Inc. We are very much thankful to him because we are at where we are right now because of him. We only had seen him twice, the first time is at Binangonan where he celebrated his birthday and we are lucky enough to be part of that celebration and the picture we had below is the second time we had seen him and we are so happy to have a picture taken with him.

The Legend of Korra

OMG! The long wait is over! Finally there is already a new sequel of Avatar: The Last Airbender entitled The Legend of Korra...But the famous characters in the Avatar are long gone already and their descendants is now the main character (obviously not all :) ) and the same goes with the Avatar itself since Aang is now gone, there is a new one in the Water Tribe which is next on the cycle and her name is Korra.

I've already watched the first season containing 12 episodes and it ends there already but there is a total of 52 episodes divided into 4 books. So the first book which is air is done and the new season will be released on 2013. Honestly, though everything happened fast paced I really enjoyed it! The fight scene, the twist in the story, the comedy and love story as well. I would really recommend it, especially if you are also a fan of the first sequel. Oh my! Toothache :(

This would be my first time to post something in here that is not so good, meaning, bad news and totally unhappy. Unhappy because right now I am suffering from toothache! (waaaah!) And I am currently at work, disregarding my condition since it is tolerable for now and I have to. I am feeling awkward because I feel like I have a candy in my mouth because the right lower molar of my teeth is swelling. I already drink medicine and I hope that it would have good effect and praying that it would be SOON. 

Even if that is my condition, I am still trying to cheer up since I am also looking forward that I would be much better later.

Everything happens for a reason. Though it hurts to accept that the famous and brilliant mind Steve Jobs is now gone, he left us something that will make us remember and thank him for what he have done. I don't know him that well, but I adore him and salute him for his contributions. And it is undoubtedly that his death is considered a loss to the world

May you rest in peace STEVE JOBS. 

EXCITE Program ♥

Do I mean the word EXCITE literally? honestly no. EXCITE means for us is Enhancement and eXpansion of Capability in Information Technology and English. It is a project created for teachers in elementary and secondary level to help them develop and improve their knowledge in the said area, and we are fortunately enough to be part of the EXCITE team.

At first, I really don't have any idea of what the PREVAT building is for. Our dear teacher and Supervisor Engr. Roy Andrada texted us if we are available to apply and if we are, we just need to go to URS Morong by Monday which is September 5, 2011 at PREVAT building. So I started to wonder, what is that building and what does that acronym stands for. (haha, so funny because I forgot to ask Sir Roy of what kind of job we will be applying for, because I was so amused by the proposal and the chance to work together with Billy). So last September 5, 2011, me and Billy went there to apply but unsure of what exactly the position we are applying for. We just learned from our teacher before in college, that it is related to being a computer laboratory facilitator because we stop by at STI first before we went to URS Morong. When we arrived at URS campus, we asked the guard where the PREVAT building is. After logging to their record list, we continue to the said building and wait for our interview. The rest is history! lol. :D And by the way, now we know what PREVAT stands for, Province of Rizal Educators Value-Added Training Center.

We didn't expect to be accepted there that quickly, but since they urgently needed an IT Assistant (that is the time that we became aware and become clear to us our position and what our job exactly is) we are lucky to be hired. Not to mention, we are indeed so lucky that they accepted both of us, because we are already aware of the possibility that they will not accept two person in a relationship together to work in the same company to avoid connivance and other reasons possible. But we are not hiding also our relationship and they are aware of it. That is why we are so thankful to them, but we are also making sure that we will be professional to the point that what we have will not affect our performance in a negative way. We will not take our job for granted since this is an interesting job for us, it is related to our course and we already had an experience being a mentor before for out of school youths. But of course, there are big differences from before. Up to now, we were able to adjust and cope to the working environment and at the same time learn something new that will enhance also our skills and improve more.

This will be our FIRST job and at the same time FIRST job together. (Aside from our last job experiences that is temporary.) Tomorrow will be the start of our 3rd week at work and we are looking forward to a much smooth, less worries days that will have a good result overall.

I miss my friends, teachers, classmates so much! It feels like I'm just on a vacation, and I will go back to school just like before. But, I know that it will never happen again though we can still see each other, and have fun together in another place that is obviously not in school since we are not students anymore. :)

FACEBOOK: Is it shutting down for real?

  There has been a rumor spreading all over the net regarding the shutting down of the 1st ranked social networking site, facebook. It has been now a talk all over the town and all over the world, especially to those people who enjoyed using it. Based on what I have read from (http://weeklyworldnews.com/headlines/27321/facebook-will-end-on-march-15th/), the statement came directly from the creator of the facebook who is Mark Zuckerberg. The decision to end this top social networking site is due to his willingness to return to his old life and didn't care about money at all. They already reminded the users to back up their files posted in the site such as pictures, videos, notes and links for it will permanently erased and the possibility for the user to retrieve these said files will be zero.

  But in contrast with this news, another news is released from (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110110/tc_afp/usitcompanyinternetfacebook) wherein they negate the said issue and they will keep on working because there are no memo given to them yet concerning the shutting down of facebook.

  Being a facebook user as well, I am very much eager to know what is the truth behind all of this rumors. Honestly I don't know yet what to believe in but one thing is certain for me, that I will continue on using it for now, back up my files in case (there's nothing wrong with that, just making sure :p) and wait for what will happen next . . .

On-the-Job Training! Here we come!

It's been a long time since I've written anything here. I do miss doing this stuff, since lately I've been too busy dealing with my school requirements (especially THESIS! urghh!stressful!) But thank GOD, we are done already with that. For now, we need to face another challenge, our On-the-Job Training! Actually it's not that new to me, since I've already taken my first OJT way back 2008 when I was still taking up Diploma in Computer Studies (DCS). But still, it's a lot more different and hard now for we really need to gone training in a computer related companies. (Obviously!since I'm an IT student) and luckily with the help of our classmates especially Liezel who made a way for us to get in the company where they went for their OJT as well, we finally made it in PIA (Philippine Information Agency). Yipee!! It's actually so hard to find companies who would accept OJTs with the number of members greater that 2. We are in fact 5 in the group so that adds to the reason why we had a hard time having our OJT. But still, we are lucky enough.

Although we haven't done so much for now, we are expected to present a prototype of our proposed system by January. And not to mention, we are expected to create the said project by utilizing the language of PHP. It's so new to me, all of us since we are only dealing with HTML and CSS on our previous subjects. So it's up to us to study and master it hopefully!

So to my co-OJT and co-boardmates, aja! gambatte kudasai! mwaaah!

Dragonball - The Movie

Not only will the Avatar “The Last Airbender” be having a movie version, as well as the all time favorite Dragonball Z. This news has been heard by lots of us already. And I’m sure, by the time we heard it we’re already curious about how they will do it. There are already teaser released in the net about it and some photos and forum. I read some disappointments by the fans regarding how the characters or presentation of the movie has made. Some said they don’t like the hair of Justin Chatwin (Goku). I just believe that this happened because we all are familiar with the story of it and there are big expectations. We want it to be perfect and closely similar with the characters that we grew up with. Here is some of the information I got from the site about the Dragonball the movie.

Avatar "The Last Airbender"

I really love those lines. Whenever I heard it, it really reminds me of Avatar. Lots of us know the story of it, ryt? We already watched it in the television or in a dvd released by Nickelodeon. But what is so interesting is that it will be put into MOVIE! Yep! You read it ryt, it’s true… I read that the movie, to be entitled “The Last Airbender”, is set for release on July 2, 2010. The creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, will be the executive producers for the film. May 2009 they said will be the beginning of the filming at Philadelphia as well as Greenland.

I’m so excited about this one! Imagine, if we are amused by how the creators made it in animation, what if it’s real? I mean real people will be the one to play the role of our favorite character Aang, Katara, Soka, Toph, Zuko. (There are lots of characters that can be our favorite) Hmmmmm…Interesting! So let’s just wait for it. I’m sure there are lots of air, water, earth and fire bending that will be seen. Hope we will not be disappointed by then. Ü

Reminiscing childhood memories…

I have these pictures of ours, me and my sister together with my 2 cousins. I found it at my old photo album and decided to keep it before it’s too late. It’s old enough that I need to cut the side of those pictures since it is already fuzzy.

The whole picture is not clear as well. But it is still fun to look at. I don’t have lots of pictures that I kept when we’re still young, so these pictures that I have are so important. From left to right, is my cousin Joana followed by me. (look at our hair, kinda similar huh?) Next is my cousin Joselito (the oldest among us) and my sister Ivy. Look how we took a pose, I really don’t remember if it’s really what we what to do or our family just said what we should pose. But what is inevitable is me and my cousin Joan are really so young at that time. By the way we pose, you

can tell that we’re really “scripted” compared to my sister and my other cousin.

Back To School? (uh-uh)

Time really does fly. It’s been two weeks since our semester break started but for me honestly, it’s not enough. Or let’s just say that it’s not quite long compare to the last sembreak that we have. October 20, 2008 is the start of our sembreak, to date. But looking at the bright side, it’s good than not having a break, ryt? Ü

Frankly speaking, I am not yet enrolled (laughing).. although the start of our 2nd semester will be on November 3, 2008.(gosh!ngaun na un!) My parents already told me to go to school (STI Tanay) and I did, last week. But I just went there to do finish some requirements, which is our clearance. I can enroll also that time if I want to but I thought that I still have this whole week to do it. Besides I’m kinda indolent that time. Also our front liner who happened to be my friend (geeh) told me that there are still some old students that haven’t enrolled themselves and probably the regular class will start one week after the declared date of back to school. And that made my plan intense that I will just do the enrollment once I return to our school at the day of starting class.

So now, I could probably consider another week of vacation. After that, time for school. Another project, assignments, activities, and whatsoever. After a days of relaxing, here comes again the day of stress and pressure. I could experience once more the days without sleep.. (sigh.. hope not!) but that’s life! That’s why back to school? Uh-uh, not yet! I don’t think so.. one more week! (gudluck STIers!) aja!
